The Centre Pompidou of Málaga is an art museum located in the city centre. If you like spanish art from the 20th and 21st century, this museum is for you. The building is famous because it has a huge cube of colours. The museum was opened in 2015. Centre Pompidou The tickets are not very expensive. Students from spain get a discount. Every trip needs to have a bit of culture. In order to fulfill this need I recommend you to visit Málaga’s Carmen Thyssen Museum. Located right in the city centre, quite close to Larios’ Street, this museum hosts one of the largest collections of Spanish painting. The Thyssen has got its own collection, which is public all around the year. However, from time to time they present new, temporary collections from famous painters. Façade of the museum. The museum itself is an old Palace named Palacio de Villalón. As it was not very spacious, they added adjacent buildings in order to enlarge the main building. According to the museum’s website, the permanent collection is composed by 230 works of art that perfectly show Spain’s 19th century art. Tickets are quite affordable. Adults pay a normal fare.
